Wild Hearth Learning grew from the rhythms of my own life—gardening with my children, making art together, working with herbs, and following curiosity into creative, place-based learning. These practices have shaped how I’ve homeschooled my two children over the past four years and inspired me to create an educational space rooted in that experience.

My name is Makenzie and I am a mother, an artist, a teacher and a gardener. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching in Art Education, a certification in permaculture design and years of experience working with children in educational environments. I am currently the lead teacher for an elementary learning pod in Carrollton.
